Renee Yau (b. 1988)
Born in British Hong Kong and based in London, Renee Yau is a visual artist working primarily through painting. Her practice explores spatial awareness, restraint, and the tension between presence and absence.
Yau’s paintings construct quiet visual fields that resist narration, inviting sustained attention rather than immediate interpretation. Through controlled use of space and surface, her work considers how meaning is shaped by limitation and distance.
