Find me on FB
My works are an archetype of an underlying idea. The archetype, we are one in the same. Often times we see what is only on the surface, or the final product of any giving situation. My works express the idea that there may be more to the subject then initially conveyed. I typically layer paint, charcoal and wax; the layers allow me to create depth and levels representing and highlighting the individualistic complexity of any given person.
Although we are individually unique we share the exact same human experiences. We all know love, guilt, joy, pride, ect. We are one in the same. Much like our DNA the organic patterns in the background represent the unimaginably complex common thread that makes us the same. However it is because of this very same element we are different. The patterns I create can never be replicated; they can only be mimicked. Much like you or I.
