Len Cicio

Len Cicio is a draftsman, born in Brooklyn and currently living in Manhattan’s last natural forest, Inwood Park. His interest in design patterns, led him to an Associate Degree at The Fashion Inst. Of Technology, in textile design where he worked 15 years in home furnishings in the NYC market.
The subway and architectural designs of Manhattan and Europe, became a keen interest along with Manhattan landscapes. His favorite mediums are colored pencils, pen & ink, and oil pastels. His influences have been Georgia O' Keefe, with her ability to strip away everything to its basic essence, Lyonel Feininger's towering abstract architectural compositions and Van Gogh's vibrant color palette.
Collections were put together and exhibitions in local restaurants and libraries, such as The Morningside Heights, and The Hudson Park Library Branch in Manhattan. In 2015 he became part of a juried group exhibition at The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition. Sales of art pieces in private collections of Manhattan residents started happening. Len was a featured artist twice in The Manhattan Times, and once in Curator Magazine. He was commissioned by a non-profit organization Operation Exodus, in 2017, that helps teenagers from Upper Manhattan. ...
