Alexander Konovalov

Born in 1948. Alexander Konovalov as a painter works on the problem of psychological reading of a color and of it as an element of space building. Intuitive and associative painting of his works lets him create his special world of harmony, world of his existence in it, where he strives for developing of refined sensation of color as such speaking, influencing, and harmonizing. The artist often refuses inventiveness, planned composition, giving his preference to picturesqueness, which carries a supply of intuitive sensations and emotional conditions of the author. His compositions are not complete; they are prolonged in time, as there is in them a wish of the author to reveal the essence of difficult occurrences, which are sometimes paradoxical.Alexander Konovalov is an artist of intuitive and figurative attitude. In his art he departs from real impressions, which, being interpreted in his inner life, appear before a spectator in the form of colorful rhymes in tune with musical compositions. Nuances of creative periods of the artists work are united with the indivisible sensible and contemplative look at the world, in which to a spectator open rhymes of visible reality and emotions experienced at the moment.
