Sima Salehi Rahni

I am an Iranian-born artist who has lived in various countries. I spent eighteen years in Singapore before moving to New Zealand, where I lived for thirteen years. Currently, I reside in Canada. My multimodal art practice spans photography, moving images, and installations, exploring themes of cultural identity, hybridity, and liminality. Among all my pursuits, Acrylic abstract painting captivates me the most, as it embodies energy and passion beyond words. My art serves as a true reflection of my inner self, a voyage through my heart, soul, and feelings. I lay my vulnerability on the canvas while showcasing my resilience and strength. Each creation represents a fusion of my energy with the surrounding atmosphere, capturing a profound sense of self-expression. My work reveals my challenges and strengths, encapsulating the essence of my personal evolution.The passion invigorates my work, animating each brushstroke.
