Keshida Layone

Keshida Layone is a self-taught abstract painter from New York.

Keshida Layone was pre-destined for a life rich in the arts. His mother, grandmother and aunt, all creatively enriching in their own right and all powerful influences in his life, sent him on a path of exploration towards his own creative endeavors which culminated into many of the works he has created.



His artistic legacy is even reflected in his name, Keshida, which stands for “Black King.”

Keshida’s work is derived from the inner most expressions of his self. His definition of creativity is to be fearless. To expose oneself unabashedly and without reservation.

Layone created “Breathe Art mimics the lust of life as dreamy and emotional, But also has the aspects of diving deep into mysterious and unknown depths”.

Layone plays with reality and fantasy. Self taught working in Mediums of Watercolor, Acrylics, and mixed media. Subject matters include the African diaspora, endangered animals, flowers and plant life and so much more.
