Nichol Robinson

Hello,
My name is Nichol Kriz, aka Nichol Robinson. I am an artist and writer who lives on the Big Island of Hawaii. I am definitely a romantic soul who believes we humans have a purpose. Love and compassion uplifts us to aspire to be the best of our species. Legend and fantasy open us to our potential. Love and compassion soften the harsh edges of our reality. I truly believe we are on the fulcrum of destiny. Will we save this planet or destroy ourselves and everything we hold dear? I am not necessarily a crusader, but an observer of the obvious. Art opens the door of possibility.

I have spent most of my life in Southern California,where I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Three Dimensional Design from Cal State, Northridge. I also studied Botanical Drawing and Painting with Lisa Pompelli at the Huntington Library in San Marino, where I participated in the show, "A Passion for Orchids" in the Boone Gallery. I most recently completed a course of study with Rose Adare at the Kipaipai Atelier in Keaau, and a workshop with Mr. David Hardy, a well regarded realist painter from Oakland, California. These courses taught methods and techniques of Classical oil painting with an emphasis on the human figure.
