Andrea Ng

"I use the acrylic medium and I paint in the style of abstract realism, using the canvas as a pictorial space to express my obsession with emotions, dreams and the mystic of the world around us. In particular, those of the diminished consciousness that drift between dream and reality, so as to tell a story from within those deep, and often dark places. I find a delicate, soft, and beautiful existence in the solitary shadows that lay hidden in our worlds. Whether they are thoughts or secrets hidden, forgotten, or abandoned, I express these silent tableaus in my work. Hopefully, they will touch another soul who views my artwork and take them to a place within themselves,...and beyond."-Andrea Ng

Andrea Ng is a visual artist and pianist born and raised in Downtown Toronto.  Andrea holds a undergraduate and graduate degree from University of Toronto and University of Waterloo. Andrea enjoyed a passion for painting since childhood, where pencil drawing created her first window into the visual arts.
