Cream and White Oval Installation

I have never really had any desire to pick up a paint brush, other than to paint the house, but ever since I can remember I have been creating, wanting to work with colour and texture to express myself. Weaving has become one of my avenues for expression. I began selling my weaving nearly 40 years ago. (I guess that means I am old now). I use many of painting’s techniques and concepts: working with colour, abstract design, repetition, use of line and texture. I thoroughly enjoy the freedom of this form of constructive art. I often take inspiration from nature, trying to incorporate the feeling and intrigue nature gives us, wanting to stimulate thought for those who look at my work. I try to provide energy, depth and movement through the use of both colour and texture, realizing that everyone will interpret my creations in their own individualized way. Commissioned work, in any size, is always welcome. I would like to thank Saatchi for giving me the opportunity to share my creations, and I am hoping that they can bring some joy into the lives of others.
