Over six decades, Gregory Christeas’ work has evolved through themes both personal and political. He confronted trauma in the Up the Moon series, captured the pulse of urban life in NYC Waterfront Reflections, and created optical poetry in The Glow and The Parallels Series—paintings that transform in changing daylight and reveal hidden dimensions under black light.

Gregory Christeas began painting at the age of five in Athens, Greece, with his mother serving as his earliest teacher and artistic influence. His artistic development continued through decades of independent study, experimentation, and direct engagement with European and American art movements. His time in Paris during the late 1960s further shaped his artistic vision and commitment to creative freedom.

**2004 — Cultural Olympiad, Athens, Greece.** Selected for a major solo exhibition held February 4–22, 2004, at the Hellenikon Airport exhibition venue in conjunction with the Athens Olympic cultural program.
