The painter who paints dreams.
Jessie Poitras, whose artist name is La Panthère Blanche JP, was born at Amqui, in the Bas St-Laurent (Québec, Canada). Since childhood, she has had a great passion for the arts. She first started drawing at the age of nine on a self-taught basis, and then at the age of twelve, she took her first acrylic painting lessons with a painter from her village and even began to write stories that subsequently became a complement to visual art. At sixteen, Jessie again took painting lessons with another painter, but this time in oils. It later became her main medium.
The imaginary world and dreams fascinate her a lot! At six years old, she wondered where people go when they fall asleep. Trying to stay awake to find out, she soon learned that we dream at night and got used to remembering her dreams in the morning. Since early childhood, most of her works revolve around the magical and the fantastic, they are like a window on another world and also his way of expressing certain messages.
Jessie's mission as an artist is to make people dream, bring them into the world of imagination and make them discover much more than a simple picture ...
