Milan Manic

I was born in Pirot 1979, since 2012. I live in Pancevo.
I draw since 1997. I m practicing digital art since 2004.

Association of Fine Artists of Serbia – ULUS.
2017 I have become an independent artist.

I began to work with art in 1998.

In 1999, I was suffering from acute leukemia. Then I used visual art as a kind of psychotherapy. I was dealing with something that could be named a semi-automatic drawing, or a work in the spirit of surrealists and art brute painters.
In 2004, when my health condition stabilized, I began to be interested in abstract art, especially geometric abstraction. The tendency towards mathematics and chess, as well as studies in electrical engineering, have particularly affected their own research and art practice.

Although my abstract works are entirely created on a computer, I would say that they, besides the rational geometric expression, offer a new sensitivity, perhaps inconceivable for the medium on which they were created!

With an abstract image I will show my inner sensibility and personal poetics. I will try to instill the sensibility and understanding of geometric abstraction in the viewers. I offer them my impression of geometry and enchantment with color.

1999. I left the electronics study (Faculty of Electrical Engineering Nis) after acute leukemia. After the stabilization of health, I dedicate myself to art.
2005. I completed IT training at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Nis, Serbia
2022. I completed an eight-month specialist IT training

I had six solo exhibitions:
2007 in Pirot and Dimitrovgrad in city galleries.
2017 in Cultural Center Pancevo.
2018 in Gallery "Cedomir Krstic" Pirot.
2020 in Gallery of the Kovin Cultural Center.
2023 in Cultural Center Pancevo.

I have exhibited collectively more than 100 times.
I have exhibited abroad: Cyprus (biennial "The Wrong", the pavilion Phi), Hungary (Vonyarcvashegy), Macedonia (Osten Skopje and Tetovo), Bulgaria (Bankya and Ruse), China (Hong Kong and Guanlan), Turkey (Tekirdag), Bosnia and Herzegovina (Tuzla), Brazil (Sao Paulo)

2023. Winner of the bronze medal at the sixth GIFEST in Subotica
2022. Winner of the first prize in the Meander gallery in Apatin, as part of the Short Form Festival "Signature", at the traditional International Exhibition "EX libris".
2022. Winner of the special prize at the tenth GIFEST in Subotica

2021. Winner of the special award international "Ex libris" competition and exhibition for professional artist - theme 150th anniversary of the Hungarian cultural center "Nepker", Subotica

2018. Winner of the special prize at the sixth GIFEST in Subotica
