Isabelle Philips-Decramer

Contemporary abstract French painter. Isabelle Philips-Decramer lives and works in the Alps(France).

For 25 years she has been exhibiting her art in many countries such as France (Paris, Lyon, Toulouse,

Bordeaux, Annecy), Switzerland (Geneva, Montreux), South Korea (Seoul) and Portugal (Lisbon).
She has also taught watercolor and oil painting in a studio in Aix les Bains during 14 years.

She talks about painting:
" Painting is a daily adventure. To my part there is no foreseeable direction, no precise path, no plan in my progress.
In appearance everything seems possible in the field of creation but that isn't so real.
Nature inspires me, above all the light and the colors I catch wandering outside. Then,back to my studio, the pleasure of mixing colors invites me to start and painting becomes a conversation between me and the canvas. Of course the mood is versatile and as if the beginning might be easy the creative process might become harder further.
Never mind, the main thing is to paint, to let shapes appear and give birth to something coming from "nowhere".
This makes the life more interesting and greater."
