Quintina Valero (b. 1970, Germany) is an award-winning documentary and press photographer from Spain. Originally she studied and worked as an Economist but in 2001 she moved to London (UK) to study Photojournalism at the London College of Communication.
Her documentary work focuses on human rights and humanitarian crisis with an emphasis on migration, working often with local NGOs around the world.
Her work has been featured in magazines, daily newspapers and online media such as The Guardian, Sunday Times, Thomson Reuter Foundation, Internationale, BBC, SIPA Press, L'Obs, LensCulture and El País.
Quintina has been trained as an Arts Leader and have extensive experience designing, managing and facilitating artistic and educational workshops working with vulnerable groups in schools and community centres.
She often collaborates with international artists; In 2015 she joined the Food of War, a multidisciplinary art collective that explores the relation between food and conflict to raise awareness of the impact for the environments and communities.
