Alexander Makohon

My name is Alexander. I have lived near the sea for most of my life. In the summer I often rode my bike along the promenade and took my sketchbook with me where I drew fleeting moments that surrounded me. I am inspired by nature in all of its wonders. From the way the sun rises to the way the leaves on the trees ripple in the wind, I see dynamics in all of these phenomena and many others. In my artworks I try to capture the movement and drive that I feel in the world around me. They reflect my inner world which is filled with a lot of events and emotions.

I focus on the line of motion, the balance of dark and light spots, images and figures.

My artworks are an escape window into a dynamic world. A dance of one or more objects. In my artworks I want the viewer to feel the beauty and fullness of movement, the dynamism of a life that rushes forward.
