Sonja Curcic

Sonia Curcic graduated at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade at the department for Graphic Design. After years of personal development, numerous group exhibitions which tried to show various frame of minds and contemporary production, as well as artistic and pedagogical work, the artist presents herself through series of works that have been made in recent years, throughvarious phases of her work.
The retrospective exhibition, namedFalse World, in National Museum in Krusevac, represents a concise selection of drawings and paintings which offers fascinating insights on various phases of the artist`s creative work. It starts from her early pieces of work which have been created since 2010 and thematically focused on human body, still life and landscape painting, which later have expended to her recent production of her works of specific insight into artistic thought, figurative orientation that the artist is developingand is determined by her need to move within personal emotional boundaries.
