Stephen Kane

Arkane Art draws upon aesthetics of abstraction and deconstruction to explore alternate perspectives and new ways of seeing to create digital artworks inspired by the futuristic neon aesthetic of Cyberpunk Science-Fiction. Post-photographic processes capture illumination from artificial light sources, utilising in-camera techniques and digital effects to create vibrant, kinetic compositions. "Lightscapes" go beyond conventional representational photography, to explore the nexus between sensory perception and speculative imagination.

Artworks include: Flow, Vivid, Glow, Flare, Shift and Pulse Series. Limited edition artworks are printed in vibrant 10 colour pigment ink, on metallic archival photographic paper, with a glossy 6mm clear acrylic face mount. The finish is smooth and sharp with high optical clarity and visual depth. Light is refracted by the acrylic and reflected by the metallic stock, simulating the visual effects and surface textures of futuristic urban environments.

Professional experience includes an extensive design career involving: Creative Direction, Art Direction, Design Management, User Interface Design, User Experience, Digital Design, Graphic Design, Brand Design and Illustration.
