Elena Alifanova

I was born in Areda, Russia, and grew up in Kolomija, Ukraine. Art has fascinated me since early childhood.

In 2006, I left Ukraine to move to Vienna, where I continued my studies in human medicine, which I had begun in Ukraine, and earned a Doctor’s degree in the field. Later, I moved to Germany to work as a surgeon. Despite my demanding career, I paint whenever I can find the time.

I studied various branches of art at Kolomija Art School in Ukraine, where I learned watercolor painting, sculpture, graphics, decorative arts, etching, and mosaic, as well as oil painting applied to landscapes and still life on canvas. While my primary focus is classic oil painting, I am also passionate about impressionism, expressionism, interior and sculptural painting, abstracts, and watercolor.
