Christopher Beckcom

Christopher Beckcom is a visual artist based in Austin, Texas, whose work explores a visual dialect of line, form, and spatial rhythm. With a foundation in architecture and a multidisciplinary creative career, his practice reflects a deep understanding of structure, proportion, and the expressive potential of space.

Christopher studied building arts at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where he developed an early commitment to precision, composition, and spatial thinking-principles that continue to inform the restraint and clarity of his work. After his studies, he spent seven years in Chicago working in architecture while volunteering with the Extension Gallery for Architecture, assisting in the construction and installation of exhibitions. This experience working within both structural and curated environments helped shape the disciplined framework that underpins his artistic practice.
