Karla Klarin

I was born in Los Angeles and I have based most of my work on the landscape of my hometown. I went to art school to study photography and I switched to painting when I saw the Ocean Park series by Richard Diebenkorn at SFMMA. I have now lived in that same Ocean Park neighborhood of Santa Monica for 40 years and I have never looked back.
