Davinia Hart

1969, West Midlands, England.

Davinia Hart was born in the Black Country of central England, so-called because of its industrial history of glass and metal manufacture. Although she obtained a university degree in fine art, she regards herself as a self-taught artist. She has had several exhibitions in England and has undertaken commission work. Recently she had an exhibition in Portland, Maine. This was her first show in the U.S.

Davinia experiments with various media, technique and themes. She has never been one to explain what inspires her to create. Instead, she prefers to let the viewer wonder. If you find her work to be soothing, exciting, erotic or an image that reminds you of someone in particular, she encourages you create your own story. Please feel free to let her know how you react to her work. It makes life more interesting when the artist and viewer connect. She will definitely respond, and might even share a story or two about her creations.

All of Davinia's paintings are on premium canvas. Stretched on wooden back supports and with painted sides, the paintings can be hung without framing if desired. Limited edition prints of the paintings are available upon request.
