Rafael Andueza

Born in Santiago, Chile. I have also the French nationality.
I studied in France, I live and work in Pucón, Chile.
I work on series of paintings by subjects. I paint still lifes, birds, portraits using oils in a traditional way but with a contemporary perspective. I try to capture their essence through light, color and poetry.
I also paint abstract art; I’ve practiced meditation since childhood, and it’s a style of painting that, in a way, is better suited to that pursuit.
Lately , I have been working on black-and-white figurative paintings, inspired by classical art.
