I'm Katrina, an emerging contemporary artist. My practice explores interiority and ritual, unconventional beauty, self- exploration and cultural reclamation rooted in Black diasporic identity. Through exploration of various modes of media, mark-making, symbolic color, and simple figurative portraiture , I investigate how personal and ancestral histories live in the body and emerge through visual language. Each work functions as part of a larger inquiry—an evolving archive rather than a singular object. ​"Creativity is my lifeforce. My art celebrates the rich tapestry of Black womanhood, offering vibrant and evocative pieces that speak to themes of identity, resilience, and empowerment while also exploring the intersection of human creativity and artificial intelligence. My creative process involves a unique collaboration between human and machine. This synchronistic approach allows me to explore new dimensions of artistic expression and inspiration and produce works that are both empowering and intellectually stimulating. Through my art, I aim to spark conversations about the nature of creativity and the use of multiple forms of media as tools and resources, including AI to enhance human expression.
