Oleg Baulin

I was born in 1965 in Russia into a family of art lovers. My parents had a large library of books on art, which surrounded me from childhood and inspired my creativity. From an early age, I showed talent in drawing and occasionally practiced painting through private lessons.
Nevertheless, I chose a different path and enrolled in a technical university. After graduation, I spent many years working in business.
In 2016, I completely changed my life: I moved to the Czech Republic and, together with my wife, opened the classical painting gallery Galerie BM in Karlovy Vary. At the same time, I returned to my long-standing passion—painting.
I believe that every person has their own life purpose, and sooner or later it must be discovered and fulfilled. I feel that I found mine when I began practicing classical painting. I follow the principle of the old masters: “Not a day without a line,” painting every day, improving my skills, and finding joy in the process.
