Catalina Gris

Catalina Gris works in technical mixta. Her images reference the urban landscape and the human shape in a well-modulated abstract substrate. To construct each work she uses fabrics that are not typical in painting – allowing her to explore different textures and paint application from transparency to impasto.

-She graduated from the National School of Arts “La Esmeralda” in Mexico City with her first solo show Escenarios de un Cotidiano Silencioso (Everyday Silent Scenes)
-In 2017 she finished her masters degree from the University of Guanajuato with the show Gris Medio (Mid Gray).
