Iori Endo

I am interested in the idea of what makes it a ‘painting.’ My current investigation is to go beyond the physical limitation of canvas, and challenge the boundaries of the traditional understanding of what paintings may be. With emphasis in materiality and physicality, my approach to materials is both controlling and liberated - using its flexibility and fluidity of the paint and its versatility of the surface.
