Howard Parsell

Howard studied spirituality and philosophy as a young man, but discovered his niche as an artist in later life. He has an inclusive and indiscriminate passion for art with a particular interest in the major painters of the Italian Renaissance together with contemporary art from around the world. His abstract painting is characterised by an organic and emergent style which builds on multiple layers of form and colour. In contrast Howard's portraits are very delicate and subtle with perceptive attention to detail and emotional content. Howard's palette is inventive and variable throughout the range of his painting. In addition Howard also produces art in a New Media format. These exciting and vibrant works are a mixture of photographic images enhanced with additional physical features which build on his experience with painting. Following this second stage of production the works are then exposed to digital manipulation techniques to produce fascinating final images...a truly bold step into the future of artistic creativity!
