Ya She Gui

My name is Gui Ya She, I hold the position of Art Interpreter at a gallery located in one of the most popular tourist sites in China named "Yellow Crane Tower Park". Our gallery collects and exhibits some rare artworks from some famous Chinese artists including Chang Dai-Chien, Qi Bai Shi. I have big passion for Chinese water color landscape and still life under influence of great Chinese artist Chang Dai-Chien.

Some of my American friends like my artworks, I hope I can present more Chinese traditional artworks to western world to show the beauty of Chinese traditional art. I have been nominated to join China Artists Association and China Calligraphers Association. They are evaluating my application to be their life-time member.

I did not attend a formal Art school but I cultivated my interest and passion for art since i was a child. I have continually practiced painting, calligraphy and sculpture throughout my entire life. I often exchange art opinion with some popular artist including Yu Chong Ming, Si Xiang Chen. I believe the greatest artistic inspiration does not come from school but from nature, human heart and our thoughts.

My ink paintings have been exhibited in several private art galleries in Wuhan City. I have exhibited some paintings on one small on-line gallery in China.
