Tony Howard

I am a freelance ceramic artist living and working in London. I design, create and sell handmade ceramic pieces inspired by my own experiences and interests, as well as taking commissions, which I produce from my bright and modern garden studio. I was a full time 16-18 art teacher for many years, before deciding to devote more of my time and effort to my own creative practice.

I gained an MA in Design (Ceramics) from Central St Martins, Kings Cross, London in 2017, having returned to my studies after many years as a full time Art Teacher. Previous to that I had last studied for a PGCE teaching qualification, which I gained from Liverpool John Moores University in 2002, having decided to pursue art education after a few years working in the service sector. My initial Degree was a 2:1 in Humanities, which I gained from Leicester University in 1995 having gained A levels in Art, History & English Literature in 1992.
