I am a self taught Scottish artist specialising in pet portraits but like to think I can put my hand to any challenge thrown at me. I work in acrylic and also pastels. I live in Brough, Cumbria with Steve and our lovely daughter Josie. I love commissions and the challenge they can give me....sometimes working under pressure gives a better finish!

I was rather stubborn at school and really would've loved to carry on and follow my art through at college or the likes. I passed my 'o' grade Art with flying colours with an 'A' but I only managed an 'E' for my English....I really wanted to sit my Higher Art with Art History but they said I had to resit my English.....'I don't need English to paint..' says me..............
and I was right but missed out on the 'college thing' but who knows it could've pointed me in completely the wrong direction. I am where I am today through passion which is worth a million grades ;-)
