Her practice reflects a lifetime of creative expression, intellectual inquiry, and soulful evolution. A Lifelong Creative with a Performer's Heart Sharmaine’s artistic roots run deep. Long before she ever picked up a brush, she trained and performed as a dancer, singer, model, and actress—developing an early sensitivity to rhythm, gesture, and the emotional language of visual storytelling. This background in the performing arts continues to inform her visual work with a sense of movement, theatricality, and bold presence. From Law and Finance to the Canvas Professionally, Sharmaine spent years supporting top attorneys in the high-stakes world of toxic tort litigation, later becoming a highly respected debt negotiator and FICO score expert. Today, she teaches private Zoom intensives for finance industry executives, blending intuition and strategy. Her ability to move fluidly between disciplines speaks to a rare fusion of logic and feeling—qualities that shape both her art and her career. In 2015, she returned fully to the creative path, teaching herself to draw and paint. Her journey into visual art was born not from trend, but from calling—and it continues to evolve with fearless experimentation and deeply personal vision. Art as Energy, Healing, and Transformation A Level I certified art therapy practitioner, Sharmaine believes in the transformative and medicinal power of art. Her work is imbued with intention—designed to shift energy, uplift spirit, and spark meaningful reflection. A lifelong spiritual seeker, she has studied Kabbalah, Christianity, and mystical traditions from around the world, all of which surface symbolically and energetically throughout her work. She works across a wide array of mediums, including acrylic, oil, gouache, resin, digital collage, ink, crafts, photography, and mixed media, allowing her to intuitively shape form and color to match the energetic needs of each piece. Evolving into Interior Artistry & Design In recent years, Sharmaine has expanded her practice to include furniture repurposing and interior aesthetics, bringing her vibrant visual language into physical spaces.
