Growing up on Long Island, I had easy access to NYC's art scene. That inspired me to follow my creativity to School of Visual Arts. There I achieved a Bachelor's of Fine Art, focused on painting. Following the undergraduate degree, I then attended Hunter College for a Master's degree in Fine Art. During this time, I taught Ceramics at I.S. 318 in Brooklyn, middle school level. I then went on to explore the world of computer graphics and web design. I had one of the earliest Mac's on the planet, and then began a career in the new field of the internet. I worked in computer graphics, website design and internet sales & project management. That endeavor was successful, but didn't allow me to follow my creativity. I left that career to pursue my creativity in a more hands-on manner. I was very interested in the emerging area of custom cakes. Starting at home, I developed my skills in creating custom cakes. This was a very satisfying career, and once I really got good, my husband and I set up a retail shop. We did that for almost a decade, and decided to come west. It was a great decision to leave the cakes in NY, and start another chapter in Arizona. Now I love what I'm doing--my own art and commissions for patrons. I am the President of Trilogy Art League in Peoria, AZ and teach colored pencil, mosaics and alcohol ink.
