Sanya Gupta

Sanya Gupta (b. in 1994, New Delhi, India) graduated with an IB Diploma in 2012 from Pathways World School Aravali, India. She is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in BA(Hons) Fine Arts from 2012-2015 in Lasalle College of the Arts in Singapore.

Over the years of her childhood Sanya has travelled to and lived in various countries such as the Philippines, Hong Kong and US, and has gained insights to different cultural backgrounds other than her own. As a young and aspiring artist, Sanya is always keen on drawing inspiration from her daily surroundings and is open to new ideas. Therefore her current series of work explores on the everyday lives of people.

She is hardworking and efficient in her work and is open to receiving constructive criticism from her peers.

The three year Fine Arts course at Lasalle, Singapore comprise subjects mainly revolving around contextual studies (theoretical art), art history, practical studio, drawing and elective classes which introduced different fields of art.

Lasalle College of the Arts in Singapore is a leading tertiary institution in cutting edge contemporary arts and design education and practice. Its degree programmes are validated by Goldsmiths, University of London.

Training in Sanskriti- Delhi Blue Ceramic Centre, New Delhi, India (2013)
The short course of a period of 3 months was related to learing the basics of pottery.
