I am a fiber artist who creates vibrant, intricate works of art from secondhand and repurposed textiles. Every piece I make is an act of care: for our planet, for the stories held in discarded materials, and for the inherent dignity of the people connected to them. Inspired by nature and pop culture, my work embraces a style I call positive maximalism, celebrating bold color, rich texture, and dynamic pattern. Through my art, I invite viewers to see beauty and possibility in the overlooked and the ordinary, and to consider creativity as a transformative force.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Carolina with a double major in English and Theatre. This foundation deepened my love of storytelling and visual expression, both of which inform my work as a fiber artist today. I went on to complete a Master’s degree in Mass Communication at the University of South Carolina, where I explored how messages shape culture and community. Later, I earned a Master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry from Northwest Nazarene University. This experience strengthened my commitment to compassion and the inherent worth of every person, values that are woven into my art. I continued my academic journey as a doctoral candidate (ABD) in Adult Education at Walden University, focusing on how people learn, grow, and transform throughout their lives.
