In my new series of new egg tempera paintings are inspired from six stories of Japanese writer Ryunosuke Akutagawa, brings us clear- eyed glimpses of human behavior. In this series I am expressing the mental scenery I see in my head when I read Akutagawa's short stories. I imagined six of his short stories as six TV episodes found on a lost VHS tape like from a nostalgic dream. Because I grew up in Japan in 80's. It places in life for me to attach my own nostalgia with reading Akutagawa in elementary school in Japan.
