To be honest, Music is the art I actually learnt, but for some reason I started to feel the urge to find a way of visual expression.
I made my first serious experiences in photography as a freelancing journalist starting from the late "analogue" 1980´s to the mid- 90´s, but my approach back then was more documentary than artistic.
Whilst getting deeper involved in music, photography moved out of my focus until one night, back in 2009. Something made me take my camera and just go out and catch some emotions. Something surely got hold of me that night and it still keeps a firm grip on me.
Up to this day I feel the same sensation when I think to have discovered a unique motive or situation, just as I do when I have a musical idea. I have learnt that visual and acoustic art both follow the same rules and are basically the same.
Tonality, rhythm and dynamics are essential in any picture, movie or song, and so it is possible to transfer the principles of music to a picture, or actually any kind of art, and vice versa.
