What remains of one's life experiences ?
Scents. Flavours. Colours. Sounds. Caresses. Emotions.
Sometimes, everything seems lost. Is time eroding memories, or does an inner demon wash them away? Painting taught me that they are in fact preserved; hidden, buried here and there, but within hand's reach. My work is a work of excavation. I unearth those experiences, and my hand revives their forgotten voices. Transformed, polished, whitened, roughened, or burnished.
