Maggy Knight

Living on the Broads, an East Anglian holiday resort of outstanding beauty and close to the rugged and windswept north Norfolk coast, I have developed a lot of interest in human activity and how this seemingly breaks down into observable ritual.
People engaged with group activity or in isolation within the landscape inspire most of my work, trying to capture the essence rather than being overly concerned with technical accuracy.
Since my mid twenties formal training has been in painting, ceramics and life drawing. Exhibiting isn't something I have engaged with until very recently. Now, I am excited at the prospect of sharing my work with others.

Two years formal training with Bert Ogden a member of The Norwich Twenty Group, informal training with members of the group, continue to be mentored by local and international painter Peter Baldwin,Norwich School Of Art, taught by Jeffery Camp RA and Michael Andrews RA
