I, Amjad Akash; passport name isMohammad Amjad Hossain was born in Comilla, Bangladesh in 31st December 1979. I have received my Masters of Fine Art (MFA) in 2004 from The Institute of Fine Art, Dhaka University, Bangladesh. I had my first solo Art exhibition in 2012 at Zainul Art Gallery; Institute of Fine Art (Faculty of Fine Art). Apart from that, also participated in more than 70 national and international art exhibition and nearly 20 art workshops conducted by Bangladeshi Master Artist & Renowned International Artist. Last 10 years I am engaged with freelance art writing & freelance journalism. My articles have published in national daily news papers & magazines. I had a huge interest about art since childhood though there was no specific reason behind the attraction. I just felt this is the only possible way for me to express my feelings and thoughts. My work explores the contemporary image of vibrant world of human psychology. Having engaged with subjects as civil human rights influence my work the most. I get influenced by my surroundings, mental crisis of human beings and its reflection on the society. As an artist I work hard to develop my work that takes a critical view of social, political and cultural issues. In my work I try to show how human beings turning to inhuman or machines. This is why all my works kind of robotic type. I love to use dermotograph, dry pastel, Charcoal and acrylic as my work materials. I also use installation, performance and video art very often to express my work. Although there may not always be material similarities between different art work but they are linked by recurring formal concerns and through the subject matter.
