Melissa Broadwell is an intuitive abstract holistic expressionist whose paintings emerge without a plan, guided by energy, light, and spiritual connection. In 2021, she discovered—almost by accident—that she had a natural ability for abstract art, closely tied to her experience as an autistic individual. Her work is deeply meditative and spiritual, often infused with a sense of light that reacts with natural sunlight and creates a living presence on the canvas. Each painting reveals itself gradually, often taking on new meaning and symbolism long after completion. Melissa views her art as a gift from beyond herself, a channel through which she shares messages of connection, resilience, and spiritual light. Her work has been shown internationally, including exhibitions in Egypt, Finland, London, and New York. She has participated in an international painting symposium in Aswan, with her paintings also displayed at historic venues in Cairo and Giza. Her art has been featured digitally at the Hamptons Art Fair and exhibited at Boomer Gallery in London, co-curated by Anthony Fawcett. In recognition of her unique creative voice, she received the BoldBrush Outstanding Digital Award for her piece Life and Death.
