Ashot Jegikjan

My name is Ashot Jegikjan. I am an artist, a painter, from Estonia. In 1997 I joined the Estonian Artists Union.
I do paintings, drawings, oil and acrylic on canvas.
Since 1992 I call my style of painting as mummuism. Gratitude and love of life – this is the key to contemporary art. Mummuistic style in my creativity means art between post-impressionism and expressionism. Mummuism – it is the waves of inspiration, all round things, musical notes.
Usually I paint what I would like to see myself. I draw as well as I breathe. Life is wiser than I am. And it is good. Life is what it is, and it fascinates me. Before you find out how to behave – life is over. I live as I can. I paint as I paint. I am glad, that I am an artist. And that's the reality. And it's wonderful.

Art School of 3 Masters in Tallinn. and Music Academy of Yerevan. In childhood, my father taught me to draw. I studied at the music academy from 1973 to 1978. During the years of music academy, I constantly painted pictures. I learned to paint from the three masters. I am very grateful to these three masters.
