Gallilani Stones

Gallilani by Art Work Partners began with the vision of working together with great artist to offer unique mediums. As a result Gallilani has revived a once thriving ancient art form known as Pietra Dura. "Pietra Dura" translates loosely as durable stone. As an artistic medium, it descends from Byzantine mosaics, especially their predilection for incorporating semiprecious and precious marbles into the work. Each piece of stone is carefully cut and assembled by hand to form images as complex as an old master painting. We encourage you to run your hands through the work and notice Gallilani's take on modern Pietra Dura allows the work to be smooth, complex, and grout free.
