Gero Eaton

At only seven years old, Gero Eaton, a young boy adopted from Bulgaria to an American family knew that he wanted to become an artist and a great one at that when he first witnessed the genius strokes of the old masters at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Growing up in Yonkers and learning the culture and language was at first difficult. Through art, Gero Eaton was able to express the feelings and emotions he needed to survive through his childhood. By the time he was a junior and senior year of high school and well acquainted to the American culture, Gero Eaton won numerous scholarships and art awards that enabled him to continue to pursue his passion for the arts, and become the first to go to college in his family. During his college years at The University at Buffalo as a BFA major concentrating in painting, Gero expressed major emotional connection towards the old masters and their techniques of painting and drawing and how they created the essence of timeless sense of beauty.
