BIOGRAPHY Left school at 15 years, joined the Army 2 weeks after leaving school, served 9 years, discharged suffering from PTSD. My artwork is a result of my ongoing therapy for PTSD and is now a special part of my life. My work consists of 3 basic types :-Abstract artworks, Photographic Impressionism, and Fine Art Photography. I find that producing these images helps to balance the good and the harsher reality of life and to allow a more constructive and happier outlook. I find that my unusual context and combination of mixed media concepts, seemingly incompatible to each other can create a completely new and unexpected reality. I produce these images as part of my ongoing therapy for PTSD. I have also re-visited images taken over many years and revamped them with my new mindset to produce my new brand of images, this involves utilizing the functionality of various art and photo tools in Photoshop and other software program,s and combining the quality and tonal values that can be produced with today’s professional printing equipment and software, and I have been extremely pleased with the results. I,m also partially colour blind which i think adds a certain edge to my images even if unplanned. I now work for the Emergency Services in the South East of England. I have a wife, son and beautiful granddaughter. Plus x2 Shire horses. Bella and LoobyLoo (Don,t ask). ;-)
