Montse Forns (Lleida, 1976), an artist by vocation, has cultivated her passion for creating and experimenting through art and sewing since childhood, but it wasn't until 2020 that she dedicated her studies to perfecting her painting and illustration techniques. Trained in Barcelona and London, she defines herself as a visual and plastic artist.
My work resides in the simplicity of imperfection and the power of color. Through India ink, watercolors, and interventions of varying volumes, I present my artworks, aiming to challenge viewers to connect with their emotions through what they see. I like to engage the viewer, prompting them to reflect on the life experiences I immerse myself in while creating my pieces.
I can't help but be moved by each stroke, witnessing the spontaneity of the watercolor as it dilutes with water, revealing new forms and colors that didn't exist before. It's a profound life experience where my true self manifests in all its strength. I deeply feel that this is my purpose in the world, and therein lies the intrinsic reason for my art: to contribute to improving society by offering the incredible power of communication beyond words, solely through images, solely through ART.
