Paints clearly in a world gone blind and preposterous. Started painting after becoming myself. Sometimes I develop a sort of intimacy and or intensity with work. And get saddened even if fulfilled when finishing. Is that Catharsis? If not, it's close. Then I start another. My thanks to thousands of viewers.
Adversity. This is not flippant or disrespectful to you or self. To make clear I quote. 1) There is no education like adversity. Benjamin Disraeli. (Sometime Prime Minister of UK). 2) Let me embrace thee, sour adversity, for wise men say it is the wisest course. William Shakespeare. (Playwright). 3) Prosperity is a great teacher; adversity a greater. William Hazlitt. (Author). Adversity. Truly. I could only wish my education on an enemy.
Yes, twice. Heard: "Interesting" (Curator feedback), "like Otto Dix" (I kid you not, but I wondered was she projecting?), "have you ever thought of teaching Art?" (more projection I thought), "reminds me of"... several big names...","funny", "I like how you've done the shadows, those steps, that tree, etc.", "I used to be a boxer" (after viewing his muse, my painting: How Did you Die? his boxing life-story followed), "there's nobody smiling" [???], "I wouldn't have that in my house" (I surmised that was because she couldn't afford my price), among other compliments, including "brilliant". ("Brilliant". Me?! Wow!). One lady asked to touch surface of a painting and became, so it appeared to me, transfigured (more projection, her self onto my canvas?). City Girl, a 2025 painting, very well favoured to me by numerous female viewers when I was in attendance at exhibits.
