Mateusz Malachowski

I've been creating for over 20 years. Although I love portrait and nude art, I also explore abstraction. In my artistic practice, I explore the boundaries between the visible and the invisible, matter and void. I create images that balance abstraction with the presence of a trace, suggesting something beyond the frame. I’m drawn to the subtlety of tonal transitions, contrasts, the physicality of the medium itself, and above all, the creative process.
My works have a contemplative quality – they invite pause and close observation.
Through limited means, I build a tension between silence and presence, leaving space for individual interpretation and emotional resonance.
