I was born in Cambridge (UK) in 1962 and studied French and Italian at the University of London. After graduating, I moved to France with my wife and kids where I worked as a translator, then as a software designer and developer. I have always loved creating things and over the last few years I have dedicated a lot of time to drawing, painting and printmaking. I grew up in a family where art was ever-present. My dad, Jerome, was a studio potter and my grandfather, Jussuf, a sculptor and printmaker in pre-war Berlin. For my artwork, I especially like to experiment and play with depth of field and bold colour contrasts. I regularly attend life drawing sessions, which I love doing, with the results often forming the basis of my lino and woodcut prints.
