Beatrice Lopez

Beatrice is an artist that works in different mediums such as painting, site-specific installation and sound. Gaining a BA from Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan as well as an exchange from the Pratt Institute in New York. She has had a solo exhibition entitled `Ritual Lines` at Art Licks festival and taken part in various group exhibitions through institutions such as White Space gallery and MAMU galleria. She runs the independent press Inner Space that publish artist and poetry books. In 2015 came `Color Story` a book about color with original drawings and printed text. It has taken part of an art book exhibition and is now stocked at Schous Books in Oslo. Beatrice wants to bring us back to our innermost nature, reconnecting to our roots. Through her abstract paintings in oil and soft pastel, fleeting textures appear reminiscent of landscape and dream material. Her multimedia works are placed in nature, using the material found to create site-specific art. Beatrice also create soundscapes, an important feature in her solo exhibition during Art Licks.
