Ginger Hahn grew up painting and drawing as a way of comprehending the beautiful things she saw around her, particularly in nature. She creates elegant and intuitive pieces defined by unusual color combinations and harmonious shapes. She has an affinity for the idea and aesthetic of Japanese wabi sabi. Her pieces are manifestations of impressions received from places, objects, and memories. To conveying the uniqueness and sensitivity of her vision is her goal. Her great grandfather was an artist in Korea. Today, his daughter is Ginger's grandmother who has become a professional artist herself. So for Ginger, painting is also a way of expressing her heritage and family history.
B.S. Plant Science from the Pennsylvania State University.
I am primarily a self-taught artist. I took a few college art classes and observed my grandmother working and holding exhibitions.
